Cookie policy

In this policy we explain how you can control certain cookies and find out more about cookies and similar technologies. For more information about how Paycard processes your data, please read our Privacy Policy.

What are cookies and similar technologies and what do they do?

Cookies and similar technologies are used to collect information about website visitors for certain purposes.

Cookies

Cookies are small data files that are placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. Cookies are widely used by the owners of websites and mobile applications to provide or enhance their functionality, as well as to collect reporting information.

When you visit our websites, mobile sites or use our mobile applications, we serve cookies and similar technologies to provide an online experience that is best suited to the devices you are logging in from, and to detect and prevent fraudulent activities and ensuring your safety. When you visit our websites from any device (such as a mobile device or PC), we collect information about how you use the website, such as information about the device or browser used to access the site (including .device type, operating system, screen resolution, etc.), how you interact with the website, and the IP address from which you are logging in.

This allows us, for example, to monitor the traffic patterns of users moving from one page of our Website to another, transmit or interact with cookies, find out whether you came to our Website from a banner advertisement on an independent website, improve functionality website and measure the success of email marketing campaigns.

In some cases, our online services rely on cookies, so refusing them may reduce functionality, for example, you may not be able to initiate or complete some activities within our secure online services until cookies or similar technologies are set . Additionally, please note that we may not be able to process certain transactions if you are physically located in certain countries.

Cookies set by the owner of the website/app (in this case Paycard) are called “first-party cookies”. Cookies set by parties other than the website/app owner are called "third party cookies". Third-party cookies enable third parties to enable third-party services or functionality on or through the website/app (such as advertising, interactive content and analytics tools). Parties that set third-party cookies may recognize your device when you log into that website and certain other websites.

You can also disable some of the cookies and similar technologies we use through your device or browser settings, but this may significantly impact the experience of our core websites, mobile sites or apps on your devices.

Pixel tags

In addition, we use similar technologies such as pixel tags and JavaScript to perform these tasks. Pixel tags and JavaScript are small graphic files that contain a unique identifier that lets us know when you visit our websites or open an email we send.

You can also disable the JavaScript and some similar technologies that we use through your device or browser settings, but this may significantly affect the functionality of our core websites, mobile sites or applications on your devices.

Flash Cookies

In addition, our website may use so-called “Flash Cookies”, for example to collect and store data about the use of our services, detect and prevent fraud, and enable other website functions such as displaying advertising and playing videos.

Flash Cookies are also known as Local Shared Objects or LSOs (Local Shared Objects) and are used to store user data on websites using Flash Player. If you do not want Flash Cookies stored on your computer, you can use the tools in the Website Saving Options panel to change your Flash Player settings to block Flash Cookies from being stored.

You can also control the use of Flash Cookies through the Global Storage Settings panel by following the instructions (which may include instructions, for example, on deleting installed Flash Cookies, preventing Flash LSOs from being installed on your computer without permission, and blocking Flash Cookies of operators other than the page owner, where you are currently located). Please note that Flash Player settings that prohibit or restrict the use of Flash Cookies may reduce or block the functionality of some Flash applications, including possibly Flash applications used in connection with our services or website content.

What is the purpose of cookies?

There are several types of cookies that are used for different purposes. We'll describe five different features in this section, but please note that not all of these types of cookies are used on every website you visit, and some cookies may fit into more than one category.

“Strictly necessary”/required cookies

These cookies are essential for the website to function properly and cannot be disabled on our systems.

Typically, they are installed only in response to actions taken by you, which constitute an application for the provision of services. You can set your browser to block or notify you of these cookies, but if you do so, some parts of the website will not function. They are activated when you visit our website and remain active throughout the session.

“Strictly necessary” cookies store data that can be used to: store your privacy settings; granting permission to log into an account or completing forms; browsing the website and using its functionality, for example visiting secure areas of the website; compliance with our legal and regulatory requirements, such as in the areas of money laundering and fraud protection; ensuring the security of your account and preventing it from being misused by others.

"Performance" cookies

These cookies allow us to count the number of visits and traffic sources to improve the quality of our website and the services we provide to you.

They show us which pages are the most and least popular, as well as the order in which users view sections of the website. All information stored in these cookies is aggregated and therefore anonymized. If you do not allow these cookies to be stored, we will not be able to use your experience of the website to monitor and improve its performance.

Performance cookies may be used to: record user clicks on each page and track the services they search for; logging error messages that occur on web pages; Website improvements to display information and services faster and make them easier to access from Internet browsers on personal computers and mobile devices.

"Functional" cookies

These cookies allow a website to remember choices you make (such as your username, language or region you are in), provide improved functionality and provide a more personalized service.

For example, by storing information in a cookie about the region in which you are currently located, a website may show you weather reports or traffic information for that region. They may also be used to provide services you request, such as watching videos or commenting on a blog. The information contained in these cookies does not identify you and they cannot be used to track your browsing on other websites. Therefore, these cookies remember your choices to improve your experience on the website.

"Targeting" cookies

These cookies are used to deliver targeted advertising to you based on your interests. In addition, they are used to limit the number of ad impressions, as well as to evaluate the effectiveness of advertising campaigns.

Typically, such files are installed by advertising networks with the permission of the website operator. They remember your visit to a website and pass this information on to other organizations, such as advertisers. Quite often, targeting or advertising cookies are linked to a feature of a website provided by another organization. Therefore, these cookies collect information about your preferences when visiting websites in order to deliver advertising to you that is tailored to your needs and interests.

If you disable these cookies, you will still see ads, but they will not be tailored to show you the content and offers that interest you.

Cookies in emails

In some of our email communications, we use cookies that contain hyperlinks with unique identifiers. They allow us to understand your interaction with our email communications and are used to improve the quality of our communications.

If you click on hyperlinks in emails, we may track your activity on our website and show you the content and offers that are most interesting to you.

If you do not wish to accept cookies from some of our emails, simply close them without downloading images or clicking on links. You can also change your browser settings to limit or completely block the use of cookies. These settings will apply to all cookies, whether they are located on websites or contained in emails. If your computer settings are configured so that images are displayed automatically, or if you have added us to your email client's contacts (or "safe senders" list), or your computer's privacy settings are set to Low, cookies may be set when the time you download, open or read our email. Otherwise, you should turn off automatic display of images, or remove our email address from your contacts, or tighten your privacy settings.
